What is Food Technology? Food
Technology is a branch of science that deals with the techniques involved in
production, processing, preservation, packaging, labeling, quality management,
and distribution of food products. The course is designed with a purpose to
help students understand the process of handling, processing, manufacturing and

are used to transform raw materials into food. With the rapid growth and

B.Tech in Food Technology is a useful course for students who are
interested in understanding the practical implementation of food science and
technology and subjects associated with the course. ·
The demand for B.Tech in Food Technology candidates in high in food
industries Candidates who want to go for a job soon after the completion of
bachelor’s degree can opt for B.Tech in food technology. ·
B.Tech in Food Technology is a challenging course. Students who have the
passion and ready to accept challenging tasks throughout the course must only
join B.Tech in Food Technology.
Eligibility Criteria for B Tech. Food Technology ·
Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology or B.Tech Food Technology is an
undergraduate professional degree program. ·
B. Tech Food Technology comes up with duration of 4 years with 8
semesters. Eligibility criteria for B.Tech Food Technology course are 10+2 with
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as mandatory subjects. ·
The minimum eligibility to pursue this course is a minimum of 50% in 10+2
exams with physics, chemistry and mathematics background, from the recognized
board.
Qualifying examinations B. Tech. (Food Technology)
4 Years (8 Semesters) 1. XII Std. (Science) passed
in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or
an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English. 2. Those who
have not offered Biology shall have to complete deficiency courses as
prescribed by respective University. 3. Common Entrance
Examination i.e. MHT-CET/JEE/AIEEA-UG organized by Competent Authority during
year 2019-20 in PCM subject.
Ø Every applicant should fill
only one application form online on website maha-agriadmission.in If a candidate submits more than one application form, the latest filled
application form complete in all respects shall be considered as valid.
Ø Do not send the copy of
the application form or any other documents by Post / courier or hand delivery
to anyone including MCAER, Agriculture University or M/S. KTPL, Pune.
Ø After filling the
application form on the website, the candidate should scan his / her signature,
his / her passport-sized photograph and original copies of all the
necessary documents and upload them on the website. A list of such authorized
centers is available on the website - maha-agriadmission.in.
Ø The online application
form filling process does not require any fees. But, candidates not appeared
for Maharashtra State common entrance test (MHT-CET 2019) will have to pay Rs.
800 (for reserved and handicapped Rs. 600/-) through online
payment gateway.
Ø Candidates desirous of
seeking admission through Institute quota as well as minority quota at
Institution level are also required to fill and submit their online application
with uploading relevant document through website.
